What is Miniabdominoplasty?

Lower abdominoplasty, or miniabdominoplasty, is a gentle way to a flat tummy. It is a targeted procedure that gently but effectively restores the natural shape of the abdomen. Miniabdominoplasty is a less invasive form of tummy tuck that focuses solely on removing excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen. Unlike traditional abdominoplasty, it does not involve the area above the belly button and does not require repositioning. The procedure takes approximately 60-90 minutes.

  • Assessment of abdominal wall condition, skin elasticity and suitability of miniabdominoplasty versus the full version

Preoperative examination

  • ECG, blood tests
  • It is possible to undergo an examination at our clinic
  • Results must be no older than 14 days before the procedure
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines and supplements you are taking

Preparation before the procedure

  • Stable weight
  • Terminated lactation (in the case of women)
  • 7 days before the procedure, take out blood thinners
  • 24h before the procedure no smoking
  • 12 h before the operation do not eat, drink alcohol or coffee

Procedure

  • Duration of the procedure 60-90 minutes
  • Vertical incision only in the lower abdomen
  • Skin and fat are removed, there is no navel displacement
  • The resulting scar is small and hidden under the underwear.

After the procedure

  • The patient usually stays in the clinic for 1-2 days
  • Elastic bandage worn while sleeping
  • Lessons on post-operative care and scar care
  • Make sure you get a ride home – expect that you won’t be immediately after the procedure
  • The pain is mild, possibly suppressed by medication.

  • The first check-up usually takes place within 7-10 days, according to the agreement with the surgeon.
