Consultation with a doctor

  • Anatomy and health assessment
  • We will discuss your wishes and physical disposition.

Preoperative examination

  • Blood tests and internal examinations (available at our clinic)
  • Sonography of the scrotal area
  • Results must be no older than 14 days
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines and supplements you are taking

Preparation before the procedure

  • 7 days before surgery, take out blood thinners
  • No smoking at least 24 hours before the procedure
  • No eating, drinking alcohol or coffee 12 h before the procedure
  • Arrange for an escort and a ride home

Procedure

  • It takes about 60 minutes.
  • The implant is inserted into the scrotum through a small incision.
  • Fixing the implant with a little natural movement
  • The wound is sutured with absorbable or non-absorbable sutures

After the procedure

  • You usually stay in the clinic for 1 day.
  • The patient remains calm, receives painkillers.
  • Sometimes short-term drain (to drain fluid).

Follow up

  • 7-10 days after the procedure, follow-up with the surgeon.
  • Stitches are self-absorbing

  • Sonographic examination 1x per year

Increased restriction: 1-2 weeks of rest after the procedure

Recommendations

  • 7-10 days of rest
  • 7-10 days sitting and lying with legs up
  • 1-2 months limit sports and physical activity and swimming
  • Cooling the scrotal area
  • Keep the procedure area dry and clean
  • 4-6 weeks avoid sexual intercourse

Contraindications

Possible complications

The treatment is not suitable for people who:

  • Under 18 years of age
  • With acute infection
  • With a history of scrotal cancer
  • With a tendency to poor scar healing (e.g. keloid scars)

Possible complications are rare and may include:
