Preoperative preparation

  • Photo documentation
  • Preoperative examination – ECG, blood tests
  • It is possible to undergo an examination at our clinic
  • Results must be no older than 14 days before the procedure
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines and supplements you are taking

Preparation for the procedure

  • 7 days before the procedure, take out blood thinners
  • 48 h before the procedure no smoking
  • 12 h before the operation do not eat, drink alcohol or coffee
  • Do not use body creams and perfumes on the day of the procedure

Procedure

  • Duration of the procedure: approx. 60-90 minutes
  • It takes place under general anaesthesia
  • Insertion of implants through an internal incision in the mouth (no visible scar)
  • Fixation of the implant to the bone and closure of the entrance

  • Compression bandage according to doctor’s instructions
  • Rest and limited contact with the environment

Follow up

  • Takes place about 7-10 days after the procedure

Increased restriction: 1 week of rest after the procedure

Recommendations

  • Soft and gentle diet for 7 days
  • Quiet mode for 7 days
  • Rinsing the oral cavity with antiseptic solutions
  • Sleeping on the back with the head in an elevated position for 14 days
  • Return to normal activities after 7-10 days
  • Avoid sports and contact with the face for at least 3 weeks

The treatment is not suitable for people who:

  • Active infections in the oral cavity
  • Unrealistic expectations
  • Disorders of healing or immunity

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Swelling, bruising, soreness
  • Displacement or shifting of the implant
  • Infection, need to remove the implant (very rare)
