Aftercare

Increased restriction: 1 week of rest after the procedure

Recommendations

  • Resting period of at least 7-10 days
  • Wearing the elastic bandage for 7-14 days (even overnight)
  • Sleeping on your back with your head in an elevated position
  • Swelling and bruising gradually subside within 2 weeks
  • Avoid sports, bending over and pressure on the neck for at least 3 weeks
  • Visible effect after 2-3 weeks, final result after 2 months

Contraindications

Possible complications

The treatment is not suitable for people who:

  • Serious cardiovascular diseases
  • Acute infections, untreated hypertension
  • Blood clotting disorders

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Bleeding, infections
  • Temporary decrease in throat sensitivity
  • Slight asymmetry or need for correction
