What is breast self-augmentation?

Breast augmentation with your own fat is a modern and gentle method that uses your own body to achieve a natural result. Also known as autologous augmentation, this method involves transferring fat taken by liposuction from other parts of the body (most commonly the abdomen, hips or thighs) to the breast area. The advantage is that, in addition to breast augmentation, the silhouette is also improved. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 60 minutes. Preoperative examination

  • ECG, blood tests, possibly sonography of the breasts
  • It is possible to undergo an examination at our clinic
  • Blood test results must not be older than 30 days before the procedure
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines and supplements you are taking

Preparation before the procedure

  • Stop taking blood thinners 7 days before the procedure
  • Do not smoke for 24 hours before the procedure
  • 12 h before the operation do not eat, drink alcohol or coffee
  • Do not use body creams and perfumes on the day of the procedure

Procedure

      • The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes under general anaesthesia.
      • The doctor removes fat from other parts of the body (most commonly the abdomen, hips, or thighs).
      • The harvested fat is carefully processed (cleaned and prepared for injection).
      • It is then injected into the breast tissue using thin cannulas.

After the procedure

  • The patient usually stays in the clinic for 1 day
  • The next morning after the procedure, there is a check-up by the surgeon and usually a discharge to home care
  • Instructions for post-operative care and scar care
  • Make sure you get a ride home – you may not be able to drive immediately after the procedure.

Follow up

  • A follow-up visit with the surgeon takes place 7-14 days after the procedure
  • The stitches do not to be removed, they are absorbable

  • Regular checks once a year are recommended

Aftercare

Increased restriction: one week of rest after the procedure

Recommendations

  • No heavy lifting the first week
  • Return to normal routine usually in 7-10 days
  • Do not exert much pressure on the operated area for 14 days
  • Sleep on your back for the first 14 days
  • Avoid bras for the first 6 weeks
  • Sport and more demanding physical activity after about 1-2 months

The treatment is not suitable for people who:

  • Under 18 years of age
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women
  • Clients with fat deficiency
  • Patients with serious diseases

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Inflammatory reactions are very rare
  • Swelling and bruising are common and usually disappear within a few days to weeks
  • Sensitivity, pain, and stiffness at the site where fat was harvested and injected
  • Temporary numbness in the treated area
  • Asymmetries and possible inequalities
  • 30-50% fat resorption, which may lead to less effect or the need for repetition
