What is Medical Microneedling?

Microneedling is an instrumental method in which fine needles create microscopic punctures in the skin. The treatment itself

  • Duration: approximately 30 minutes depending on the area to be treated
  • Procedure: the doctor applies an active hyaluronic acid-based serum with other supporting substances – e.g. vitamins A, C, E and seaweed extracts
  • Using a handheld electrical device, the high-rotation microneedle gently disrupts the skin, creating hundreds of thousands to millions of very fine punctures in the skin.
  • Perpendicular disruption of the skin creates microtrauma in the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

Number of repetitions

  • The treatment can be repeated at any time
  • We recommend 3-6 sessions for optimal results
  • The regeneration process is just starting immediately after the treatment and will take approximately four to six months. The result will then last up to 12 months.

Moderate limitations: 2-3 days after treatment you may experience mild discomfort

Recommendations

24 hours after treatment:

  • Apply a soothing cream
  • Do not use make-up

7 days after treatment:

  • Avoid solarium, sauna and direct sunlight for several days

Prevention:

  • Use moisturizers to promote regeneration

The treatment is not suitable for people who:

  • With active skin infections
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • With serious skin problems in the treated area
  • With a general viral or bacterial infection

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Mild redness, bruising or skin irritation
  • Short-term peeling and sensitivity
