Pre-procedure instructions under general anaesthesia and analgosedation

Pre-operative examination
Pre-operative examination determines whether your body is ready for the planned surgery and whether the risks are minimised.

Commonly includes:

  • Completing the health questionnaire
  • Physical examination by a doctor
  • ECG
  • Blood picture
  • Urinalysis
  • Lung X-ray in healthy patients up to the age of 60 years, lung X-ray is necessary in all age groups for patients with lung disease
  • If the patient is being treated by a specialist (pulmonologist, cardiologist, haematologist, endocrinologist, diabetologist….), it is necessary to bring the attending physician’s report with any recommendations before general anaesthesia.

Notice :

The report must explicitly state whether there are no objections to surgery under general anesthesia. Patients with incomplete examinations cannot undergo surgery.

These examinations by a general practitioner or internist must not be older than 14 days. It is possible to undergo the examination directly at our clinic.
